RightJS 2.0.0 - RC2 Is Out!

Hey folks! I guess we didn't have much of news in here for quite a while now. But it's all about to change, because today I'm publishing the RightJS 2.0.0 - RC2 release.

The main thing about the RC2 release in comparison to the RC1 one, is that now all the plugins were ported to the new core and it all work together just nicely. You can download the package that contains the latest core and all the fresh plugins and widgets over here.

Be ware also that UI widgets were changed quite a lot, most of them received new HTML structures, classes and so one. The i18n modules were updated too.

The only thing that is not on the menu yet is the ruby-on-rails module. Because of all the changes in widgets and core, the ruby part of the plugin will need several major changes, plus Rails 3 was released and we will need to perform some tests with it too. So it will be released all together a bit later.

Then, there are not much of documentation yet about all the new features, but you should check this, this and this. It should give you the basic overview of what's going on and what kind of sweetness you can provide now.

The Next Steps

Basically RightJS 2 is ready, it passes all the tests and works with all the plugins. But I'll wait with the actual release to September 15, when the IE 9-beta will come out. Once it released we'll make sure that everything goes together nicely and then have the actual release.

Meanwhile we will have two weeks for tests and documentation updates, which should lead us to a nice and smooth release.

That's about it. Enjoy the new features and will see you around!
